Pakistan’s Malala Yousafzai and Imran Khan make it to the World’s Most Admired People list 2018

According to an annual study compiled by YouGov, world’s youngest Nobel Prize Laureate Malala ranks 7th among world’s most admired people list for women. Also former cricketer turned politician, Imran Khan ranks in at number 20 in the same list for males.

Bill Gates and Angelina Jolie are the world’s most admired people, according to the annual study which was compiled by YouGov. The Microsoft founder and Hollywood actors turned humanitarian have topped the list every year since 2015 when single sex categories were introduced.

This list includes 20 men and 20 women, chosen as a result of online interviews in which more than 37,000 people participated from 35 different countries.

The majority of women featured hail from the entertainment industry, with Taylor Swift, Madonna, Priyanka Chopra, Liu Yifei and Gal Gadot. However, notable political figures, such as Hillary Clinton and Angela Merkel, also feature in the top 10.

Malala receives warm welcome on return to Pakistan

The male list is mostly occupied by those from business and sporting backgrounds and includes Elon Musk, Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Warren Buffet and David Beckham. And political figures that have featured on the list comprise of former U.S president Obama and Chinese president Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
