The government has announced a major reduction in the prices of petroleum products for the remaining 15 days of the month of October.
New petroleum product prices will be in effect from midnight.
The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 40 per liter while the price of diesel has been reduced by Rs 15 per liter.
The new price of petrol is Rs 283.80 per liter while the new price of high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs 303.18 per liter.
The official notification in this regard has been issued.
