PTI-backed independent candidate from Karachi is reported to have joined PPP!
Ijaz Swati secured victory from Karachi’s PS-88 as an independent candidate with PTI’s support.
On Wednesday, a newly elected member of the Sindh Assembly from Karachi, Ijaz Swati, announced his decision to join the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
In a video message, Sawati said that he was joining the PPP “for the prosperity of his people and development of his constituency.”
Sawati said that he was joining the PPP unconditionally, adding that he decided after consulting with his friends and people belonging to his constituency.
With Swati’s inclusion, the PPP’s tally in the provincial assembly now stands at 86.
Earlier, another independent candidate Mumtaz Jakhrani had also joined the PPP.
