PTI rejects the Commission of Inquiry constituted to probe the contents of the judges’ letter

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has rejected the formation of an inquiry commission by the federal government to investigate the contents of the letter of the judges of the Islamabad High Court.

On Thursday, a meeting of the core committee members of PTI was held, in which the Chief Justice’s meeting with the Prime Minister on the most sensitive issue related to the country’s judiciary and legal interests was reportedly discussed.

The Core Committee statement said that in their letter, the judges of the Islamabad High Court have exposed the fundamental challenge to the existence of the judiciary before the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the Supreme Judicial Council and that it has come into being based on public mandate. The Wally government is the biggest beneficiary of the ongoing lawlessness and unconstitutional interference in every way.

In the statement of the PTI core committee, it was further said that the unelected prime minister sitting on the mandate of theft or his government is not capable of conducting any investigation, nor will such investigations have any credibility, so the future of the Chief Justice of the Judiciary is made up of touts. Provide justice to fellow judges instead of leaving them at the mercy of the administration
