PTI’s Khusro Bakhtiar and Saifullah Niazi have quit the party as desertions continue!
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have quit the party, condemning the May 9 violence wherein military installations including Corps Commander House Lahore came under attack.
Former federal minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtia in a video message on Friday, Khusro Bakhtiar said “I can’t go with the PTI’s philosophy anymore.” I had distanced myself from the PTI for the last year. I also remained inactive as a core committee member during that period, he said.
He added that the events of May 9 forced me to move away from the ideology of the PTI.
Khusro Bakhtiar further said that I had informed the party leadership that confrontation with institutions would be harmful.
Senator Saifullah Khan Niazi has also announced that he is leaving the PTI, at a press conference where he also condemned the attacks that took place on May 9.
He said that “I have to focus on my life, especially on my family and health”.
While on Saturday PTI leaders from Karachi Ali Zaidi and Imran Ismail announced parting ways with Imran Khan and PTI.
A day earlier, former special assistant to Punjab chief minister Firdous Ashiq Awan, Abrar ul Haq, and Murad Ras also announced leaving the party after the May 9 violence.
