PTI’s Salman Akram Raja arrested in Lahore

PTI has termed the act extremely shameful and disgusting

PTI’s Salman Akram Raja is reported to have been arrested in Lahore on Saturday.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja was arrested when he was protesting along with his party workers protesting outside the party office on Jail Road.

PTI in a statement posted on X confirmed the development by sharing a video showing Punjab police taking Raja into custody.

PTI said that its leader Advocate Salman Akram Raja, who contested the polls as an independent candidate backed by the party in Lahore’s NA-128 constituency, has been arrested in Lahore.

PTI has termed the act “extremely shameful and disgusting”, calling for his immediate release.

“They are arresting me unlawfully. I am with the public and we will continue to raise the righteous voice,” Raja can be heard telling reporters while being whisked away by the police.
