Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners across the globe are receiving a strange ‘Find My Mobile’ push notification.
As being reported, the notification only has the number “1” which disappears when a user taps on it.
However, there is no need to get worried over it, as it turns out to be an internal test, sent to users unintentionally.
Samsung’s Find My Mobile service allows users to find their phones in case they lose it. It is similar to Google’s Find My Device app.
That message was meant to be a device test that was accidentally sent to all the Samsung Galaxy users worldwide.
Samsung UK has confirmed that the push notification was sent to a “limited” set of devices mistakenly.
“Recently, a notification about “Find My Mobile 1” occurred on a limited number of Galaxy devices. This was sent unintentionally during an internal test and there is no effect on your device. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers”, according to Samsung UK tweet.
Furthermore, in addition to Samsung’s latest devices such as the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Note 10 series, several users with Galaxy S, Galaxy A, and Galaxy J series phones also received the same push notification.
As being reported, the users who have not registered for Samsung’s “Find My Mobile” service on their phone also received the push notification.
