26-year old Brazilian model died on Saturday after collapsing in the middle of the catwalk during the show on the last day of Sao Paulo Fashion Week, according to the event organizers.
During the catwalk model fell on the ramp, while making a turn to leave the ramp.
Medics immediately attended to the model in front of shocked spectators.
SPFW also informed that the model was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The organization in a statement said, “SPFW has just received the news of the death of model Tales Soares, who suddenly took ill during the Ocksa show”.
The cause of death has not been revealed yet.
The modeling agency also shared the news on Instagram.
“The model @tales.cotta died at the age of 26 in Sao Paulo on Saturday, April 27. This young man was participating in the “Fashion Week. As he was parading, he suddenly collapsed on the podium. Tales Cotta was then marching for the @ocksaofficial brand. This model was a fashion figure in Brazil”.
Meanwhile, the fashion brand Ocksa said on Instagram its entire team was “shocked” by the death of Soares, who was signed to Base MGT modeling agency. “We offer our sincere condolences to Tales’ family,” it said.
