Prime minister and vice president of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Tuesday morning announced about receiving the coronavirus vaccine.
Sheikh Mohammed has become the latest United Arab Emirates official to take part in the COVID-19 vaccine trials.
Taking to his official Twitter, he posted an image of receiving the vaccine for trail.
“While receiving the coronavirus vaccine. We wish everyone safety and great health, and are proud of our teams who have worked relentlessly to make the vaccine available in the UAE. The future will always be better in the UAE,” His Highness wrote.
UAE has already received approval to administer the coronavirus vaccine that is being trialed for emergency cases.
Along with Sheikh Mohammad, a number of senior government ministers and officials have also received the vaccine.
The third phase of trials for a Covid-19 vaccine in the UAE began in July and Emirati officials say the results have been positive.
