Sindh caretaker government on Sunday announced that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2023 will be held afresh on November 19.
The announcement from the interim provincial government has finally ended speculations surrounding a matter related to the entry test for admission to medical and dental colleges in Sindh.
According to the Sindh Heath Department, MDCAT 2023 would be re-conducted through the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS).
The MDCAT-2023 will be held at the Karachi Expo Centre from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 19.
A spokesperson for the Sindh health department said that all the candidates will have to go through a strict body search before entering the examination hall, and warned against bringing mobile phones, calculators, and other electronic devices.
In addition to this, the candidates’ parents and relatives will not be allowed to stay in or around the examination center.
The development comes after Sindh caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir cancelled the results of MDCAT 2023 earlier this month.
The decision was made in the light of an inquiry committee’s report revealing that the September 10 paper was leaked four to five hours before the MDCAT began.
