Social media platforms including YouTube and X-platform are facing an outage in Pakistan reported on Sunday evening.
Several social media users reported having difficulty accessing social media platforms in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad shortly after 8 pm.
Users also complained about internet services being slow.
According to Internet monitor Netblocks, a nationwide disruption in social media platforms surfaced
“Live metrics show a nation-scale disruption to social media platforms across #Pakistan, including X, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube,” it said.
Internet monitor Netblocks noted that the development comes ahead of a virtual rally organised by the PTI.
Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) is yet to comment on the development.
