Syed Khalid Raza, Deputy Director of the Dar-e-Arqam schools system Karachi Region & Vice Chairman of the Federation of Private Schools Pakistan, was killed outside his residence on Sunday evening.
As reported, a bullet hit Syed Khalid Raza, 55, on the head from close range right at the doorstep of his residence in Karachi’s Gulistan–e–Johar Block 7 area.
The unknown suspects were riding a motorbike.
The CCTV footage from the spot shows two suspects on a motorcycle speeding through the street.
A 30-bore pistol has been used in the incident, police said.
A shell of a bullet has been found at the place of the incident, police said.
Apparently it was not a robbery incident.
According to police, 70 thousand rupees and a mobile phone were present in the slain Raza’s pocket.
Further investigation is going on in this regard.
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesuri and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah have condemned the killing of Khalid Raza.
Additional IG has been directed to submit a report on the incident and to investigate the murder from all aspects.
Suspicious people riding motorcycles were seen several times, residents of the area told reporters.
The police were informed several times but no action was taken, the residents of the area added.
