Terrifying London sword attack sends 5 to hospital

The suspect who appears to be a 36-year-old white male, was arrested 22 minutes after the first call, after being Tasered, said Police.

A terrifying London sword attack has sent 5 injured to the hospital on Tuesday.

Police say a 14-year-old boy was killed in a sword attack in Hainault, east London.

As reported, two police officers and three members of the public were injured after reports a car had driven into a home in Hainault, east London, shortly before 7 am on Tuesday.

The injuries were not thought to be life-threatening

The suspect who appears to be a 36-year-old white male, was arrested 22 minutes after the first call, after being Tasered, said Police.

According to the British media reports, the incident is not being treated as terror-related.

Horrifying footage posted doing rounds on social media appears to show a sword-wielding suspect wearing a yellow hoodie as he prowled the streets and crouched beside homes.

The locals of the area woke up to the sounds of screams and shouting in the neighbourhood.

Locals told MailOnline how they woke to sounds of ‘piercing screams’ and a man ‘covered in blood’ outside their homes in the Thurlow Gardens area.

A man who lives outside the station, said: ‘I woke up at 7 am to lots of shouting. There was a guy outside covered in blood, near the station and outside my home.

‘Police were trying to calm down the man who carried out the stabbing. But he went towards the station. He kept shouting,’ he added.

Another local describing the incident said: ‘At least one man was lying in a pool of blood. It was horrific. ‘

‘There were these terrible screams I woke to piercing screams, people said it was with a machete.’

A different local told The Sun that he saw a man covered in blood standing by his front door.

A man named Peter Rollison said: ‘I live in Laing Close and made my way to Hainault Station this morning.

‘There were a lot of police cars around the corner from me. I stopped from a distance to look at all the commotion, then continued with my journey.
