Pakistani gamer Arslan Ash wins Tekken 7 at Evo Japan 2023

Pakistan’s professional gamer Arslan “Ash” Siddiqui has won the Tekken 7 tournament title at the EVO Japan 2023.

At the tournament final on Friday, Arslan — with the character name Zafina — eliminated KDF | Meo-IL —whose player name was Geese — 3-0 to win the title.

Arslan (Zafina) beat Varrel | Rangchu (Panda) 3-2 in the winners’ final and KDF | Meo-IL (Geese) 2-1 in the winners’ semi-final earlier.

Siddique has now won three EVO titles, with his first win in 2019 at the TEKKEN 7 tournament in Japan, followed by the Evolution Championship Series in the United States.
Korea was long the dominant force in Tekken. In 2019, Arslan Ash, from Pakistan, came out of nowhere to take EVO Japan over the LEGENDS of the Tekken world.
