Babar Azam has credited his mother for bringing good luck as he scored a century against Islamabad United in the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam’s remarks were made after his team triumphed over Islamabad by eight runs in the 13th match of the PSL courtesy of his 11th T20 century and Arif Yaqoob’s five-wicket haul.
This was Peshawar Zalmi’s third straight win in the ongoing tournament.
Speaking post-match with the media, Babar Azam said: “My mother came [to watch] for the first time. She’s very happy. She enjoyed it. She always watches at home but she proved to be [a source of] good luck for me. She came to watch the match and I scored a hundred.”
