England humiliate India by winning the T20 World Cup second semi-final by10 wickets in Adelaide Oval on Thursday!

Alex Hales and Jos Buttler hammered brilliant unbeaten half-centuries while chasing the 170-run target.

Indian bowling attack proved inadequate for the English opening pair’s spellbinding batting performance.

Hales reached his 50 off 28 balls. He had smashed seven sixes in his 86 unbeaten innings.

Batting on the other end Buttler smashed 80 runs.

Alex Hales and captain Jos Buttler shone in a record-unbroken opening partnership which is now the highest partnership in T20 World Cup history.

India batting first had a difficult start to their innings as they lost the wicket of KL Rahul early.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma tried to build a partnership but some really impressive bowling by the English bowlers did not allow the Indian batters to score at a swift rate. 

Rohit was sent back to the benches for 27 from 28 deliveries in the ninth over of the innings, while Suryakumar Yadav was also bowled soon for 14.

Though Kohli and Pandya stuck around and tried to take the game deep.

But Kohli was dismissed just after scoring his fifty in the 18th over.

Pandya carried on for a while and went on an onslaught to take India to a competitive score of 168/6 in their 20 overs.

Pandya’s efforts helped India in adding 68 runs in the last five overs, 54 of which came from Pandya’s bat but in the end, the target was not sufficient enough to hold England back from sailing into the final!

England’s massive win against India has led them in setting up a T20 World Cup final clash against Pakistan in Melbourne on Nov 13, a kinda repeat of the 1992 world cup.

England and Pakistan teams last met in a World Cup final in 1992, which Pakistan won.

England will be looking to set the record straight now by lifting the trophy at the iconic MCG on Sunday.
