Fakhar Zaman’s century leads Pakistan to beat New Zealand by 7 wickets in second ODI

Fakhar Zaman’s century has led leads Pakistan to beat New Zealand by 7 wickets in the second ODI played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to field against the visiting side New Zealand in the 2nd ODI.

While batting first Kiwis set a target of 337 runs.

The Green Shirts chasing the target achieved it in the 49th over for the loss of 3 wickets and thus secured their second consecutive victory in the series.

On behalf of New Zealand, Will Young and Chad Bowes opened the innings, but the first wicket of the Kiwis fell on 33 runs and Will Young was dismissed for 19 runs.

After that, Chad Bowes also returned to the pavilion by scoring 51 runs, Daryl Mitchell and Tom Latham played a responsible inning and made a partnership of 183 runs, but Mitchell got out after scoring 129 runs.

Tom Latham then fell victim to a nervous nineties and was caught out for 98 runs by Harris.

After that, Babar and Fakhar played a responsible inning and established a partnership of 135 runs, but Babar was a victim of Sodhi by scoring 65 runs, the third wicket fell to Abdullah Shafiq who was dismissed for 7 runs.

On the fourth wicket, Rizwan and Fakhar made a partnership of more than 100 runs, thanks to which the green shirts achieved a mountain-like target of 337 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the 49th over.

Fakhar Zaman remained unbeaten by scoring 180 runs with the help of 6 sixes and 17 fours, while on the other end of the crease, Mohammad Rizwan also remained unbeaten by scoring 54 runs.

After this victory, Pakistan took a 0-2 lead in the 5-match series.

Ehsanullah made his debut for Pakistan in this match, he was given his 242nd ODI cap by Pakistan.
