Pakistani batter Saud Shakeel has set a new world record in Test Cricket history!
On Wednesday, the Left-handed batter scored another fifty in the second Sri Lanka Test played at Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo, and become the first-ever batter in the history of Test cricket to score a half-century in each of the first seven matches to start the career.
Previously, India’s Sunil Gavaskar, Pakistan’s Saeed Ahmed, West Indies’ Basil Butcher, and New Zealand’s Bert Sutcliffe scored half-centuries in each of the first six Tests of their career.
Pakistan batter Saud Shakeel also scored a brilliant double hundred against Sri Lanka in the first Test on Tuesday (July 18).
He is also only the second Pakistan batter to hit a double century in his first Test match away from home.
