Usman Khawaja with a message on his shoes, has found a way to support Palestine on the field!
Australia batter Usman Khawaja intends to wear shoes having a message written “All Lives Are Equal,” during the upcoming Perth Test against Pakistan with slogans showing solidarity with Palestinians affected by the Gaza conflict.
The left-handed batter was spotted wearing the shoes in question during the Australian team’s training session on Tuesday.
As reported, by the Australian news agency, he plans on wearing the pair having the message, in the opening game of the three-match series starting on December 14 against Pakistan at Perth’s Optus Stadium.
It is pertinent to mention here that ICC’s rules and regulations do not allow the cricketer to put any logo or message on their clothes or equipment such as bats, or gloves which carries a political, or religious, statement.
This ICC Code Of Conduct has to be followed in even domestic matches by all the member boards.
