There are only few days left for general elections in Pakistan, we all are witnessing some whirlpool kind of political developments and campaigns. The last couple of weeks have been pretty happening since the return of former Prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Maryiam Nawaz, being arrested, sent to prison and the latest development in the ephedrine case verdict last night. Everyone is keeping a keen eye on political developments.
While the Pakistanis prepare themselves to cast their votes on 25th of July, there are not only the politicians, political party workers and supporters only taken up by the election frenzy, but many of the Pakistani celebs are also concerned about the upcoming elections and political development. Many celebrities took to social media for speaking of their mind about political situation and elections.
It is not just the fact that many celebrities are active on social media for showing their concern about Pakistani politics, few of them are actually taking part in active politics as they are also contesting in the general elections.
It was reported earlier that renowned actors Sajad Ali and Ayub Khoso are taking part in elections on Pakistan People’s Party ticket from Karachi, Sajid Hassan from NA-256 (Karachi Central-IV) and Ayub Khoso from PS-101 (Karachi East-III).
There is another addition from the actor’s community into the political fraternity contesting in upcoming general elections. We all know actress Gul-e-Rana for many of her fine performances but now she is about to make her political debut.
Gul-e-Rana is also busy in running her election campaign in full swing. Gul-e-Rana is quite a known actor, who has performed in many drama serials but it is her political debut in elections 2018. Gul-e-Rana is a member of Karachi People’s Party cultural committee and is awarded the party ticket to contest from PS 94 in general elections 2018.
Former supermodel Abbas Jafferi is also contesting for general elections from PS-125, on PTI ticket. He is found currently active in his political campaign in his constituency.
