Tamil producer Manikam Narayanan says the story of Jawan has been copied from the 2006 film Perarasu!
As reported the Tamil Producer has filed a complaint against Atlee with the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC), which is currently investigating the matter.
Although the plot of Atlee’s Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan has not been disclosed yet, it is speculated that SRK plays a double role in the film.
The original Tamil film Perarasu, directed by Udhayan, follows the story of a CBI agent (played by Vijayakanth), who investigates the disappearance of a judge.
The story unfolds with the development of the case’s investigation as its culprits are killed one after another by an anonymous person who ultimately turns out to be the CBI agent’s biological twin.
As reported, the upcoming Bollywood flick Jawan directed by Atlee is currently being shot and is expected to be released next year in June.
Interestingly it’s not the first time that Atlee’s films are being compared to other flicks made in India.
His first film Raja Rani was allegedly compared to Mouna Ragam by Manirathnam.
While his last film Bigil was also discussed to have similarities with SRK’s hit Chak De India.
