Ali Sethi to perform in Carnegie Hall in spring 2019

After outstanding performance in Coke Studio season 10 and popular OSTs for dramas, Pakistani artist Ali Sethi is all set to impress the audience with his magical voice to the next level. The singer will perform in New York’s famous Carnegie Hall in spring 2019.

Ali Sethi will be a part of the concerto ‘Where We Lost Our Shadows’ has written by Pulitzer-Prize winning composer Du Yun and sponsored by American Composers Orchestra.

Speaking about the project, the singer said, “This is a powerful work that speaks to our moment in vital ways. It allows me to represent my culture in a global context. I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”

Sethi will perform on the chorus of traditional music. The artist has trained for years in classical music with his mentor Ustaad Naseeruddin Saami and Farida Khanum, the famed names in the field of Classical Music.

Carnegie Hall is one of the most prestigious and an attractive art deco theatre which presents a quality acoustics for musical performance. It was memorialized most recently in the Meryl Streep movie, Florence Foster Jenkins.

Aside from playing in Carnegie’s Zankel Hall, the piece will also travel to Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and London’s Southbank Center.
