Rapper Lil Jon took his Shahada and accepted Islam at King Fahad Mosque in LA

American rapper Lil Jon has embraced Islam!

As reported, American rapper Jonathan H. Smith, better known as Lil Jon visited King Fahad Mosque in Los Angeles on Friday, March 15, and publicly announced his conversion to Islam in front of a large congregation.

A video showing him reciting the Shahada (the Islamic declaration of faith) in Arabic and English is doing rounds on social media.

Followed by over one million on Instagram, the rapper known for other songs, including Turn Down for What, Let’s Go, and Act a Fool, shared a story on his official handle thanking his fans for their “outpouring love and positivity.”

Lil Jon is known for several renowned tracks and features, including Yeah by Usher featuring alongside the rapper Ludacris.

Lil Jon became the second famous American to embrace Islam in the first week of Ramadan after  American writer and activist Shaun King.
