In February, 2018, Victoria Beckham announced that she will be bidding farewell to New York Fashion week since she decided to have her decade-anniversary show at London Fashion Week, the UK rival of NYFW.
Beckham launched her label in 2008 and this year marks 10 years of her brand in the fashion industry. The launch of her brand also marked her first appearance on Vogue’s British edition in April 2008. The pop star-turned-fashion designer has been stuck with New York Fashion Week for years. She had her first ever show in 2007 named “Victoria Beckham: Coming to America” where she presented only 10 of her designed outfits.
After her debut at Mayfair’s Galerie Thadaeus Ropac, she was extremely overwhelmed with emotions as the show was a massive success. Starting from the bottom, she has certainly come so far in the fashion industry. The show opened was a 47 year old model named Stella Tennant who wore a chic white trouser suit paired with a silk blouse and silver shoes.
About this launch, Victoria Beckham said,
“I wanted to feature women as well as girls.”
It was surely an emotional experience for Victoria Beckham to have a successful show at the time of her label’s 10 year anniversary where she hasn’t not only presented gorgeous and smartly tailored outfits but also some beautiful jewelry masterpieces.
There are so many celebrity fans of Beckham’s designs all over the world including the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. She was spotted wearing one of Victoria Beckham’s designed jumpers, in March, 2018.
On her big day, she was accompanied by her husband, David Beckham and her children Brooklyn, Romeo and Harper to witness the success of the show. Beckham’s son, Romeo, posted a photo from the show on his Instagram, with caption “Amazing show mum love you so much.”
The family had a celebratory lunch afterwards.
