After Deepika Padukone, Dia Mirza named in drugs nexus case

After Deepika Padukone, another high-profile actress Dia Mirza has been named in the drugs nexus case!

The latest development comes amid a widening probe into an alleged drug syndicate in Bollywood and its links to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

The NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau), has registered a case based on alleged WhatsApp chats retrieved from Rhea Chakraborty’s phone, who was arrested by the NCB on charges of arranging drugs.

As being reported, the NCB has so far arrested more than 12 people in connection with the probe into the drugs angle in the case of the actor’s death.

A day earlier, B-town’s top actor Deepika Padukone’s manager was summoned for questioning by the NCB. And the other Bollywood name that has emerged in the drugs probe is Dia Mirza, who has completely refuted the claims in a statement.

“I would like to strongly refute and categorically deny this news as being false, baseless, and with mala fide intentions. Such frivolous reporting has a direct impact on my reputation being besmirched and is causing damage to my career which I have painstakingly built with years of hard work,” Dia tweeted.

“I have never procured or consumed any narcotics or contraband substances of any form in my life. I intend to pursue the full extent of legal remedies available to me as a law-abiding citizen of India. Thanks to my supporters for standing by me,” she added.
