Malala Yousafzai Wishes All Young Girls Can Make Career Choices

Youngest Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai who is undergoing a final year of graduation at Oxford University is unclear about her career path, however, she knows she has the freedom to make a choice for herself and that’s what she wants for all the young women in the world.

“When I was younger, adults would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. At first, I would say a doctor. Then prime minister. Then, I just focused on getting into university & deciding what to study,” tweeted Malala.

“Today, like a lot of young people, I’m not sure what my career path will be,” she added.

But enjoying the privilege of being able to make a choice for herself, Malala wished the same for all ambitious, young women.

“But I know that I can make that choice for myself and that’s what I want for all young women,” wrote Malala.

And to commemorate the upcoming Women’s Day, she has decided to share dream careers and aspirations of young girls from around the world.

“This week leading up to International Women’s Day, I want to celebrate girls’ ambitions & share what young women around the world are saying about their dream careers,” added the author of I Am Malala.

Malala then shared the aspiration of Ana Gabriely, a 15-year old Brazilian girl.

“My dream career is to be an astronaut because it is a place where men have more prominence. I want to give voice to women by saying that even the universe is not the limit,” Malala tweeted as she quoted Ana.
