The 37 year old Bollywood star, who shot to fame with her bold films and comic personality, Neha Dhupia, has announced her pregnancy while citing how she doesn’t plan on resting during the period.
Neha Dhupia tied the knot with beau Angad Bedi in a private ceremony in May and the couple is now expecting their first child in November. Recently, Neha walked the ramp with her husband for Indian designer Payal Singhal at the Lakme Fashion Week, becoming the second Bollywood star to do so after Kareena Kapoor.
Neha denies following anyone’s footsteps or being a part of the trend. She also believes and wants to keep working actively during her pregnancy as well.
“A lot of people think that when you are in a situation, especially the one I’m in, there are lots of people who work and caution around you and it is wonderful to see that love and care. I represent a certain section of women who believe in working.”
“When I come out and work, I feel even better about it. As a couple, we don’t make a big deal out of anything which is also great. People are like ‘Oh my god. You should now go home and look after yourself’. They have been very supportive,” added the Julie star.
Neha Dhupia has also admitted how she has massive respect for women who stay at home during their pregnancies but states how she feels the need to work and move, “If I can do six things otherwise, then it is a small little thing that I’m doing. If I am strong enough to do that then there is nothing that will pull me back,” states Dhupia.
