Pakistani footballer Karishma Ali featured on Forbes ’30 under 30′ list

Pakistani footballer Karishma Ali has been featured on Forbes ’30 under 30′ list. Karishma says becoming part of Forbes ’30 under 30′ list an honour.

She is the first girl from her hometown to have played football at a national and international level. 21-years old, hailing from Chitral is among five Pakistanis in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2019 list.

Members of the list are selected by the Forbes for ‘innovating in technology and disrupting age-old industries to demonstrating immense talent and dominating the world stage. According to Forbes, this group of young stars shines in more ways than one.

The young footballer has represented Pakistan at the Jubilee Games in Dubai, with her team becoming the first women’s team from Pakistan to participate in the AFL International Cup.

Karishma is also the founder of the Chitral Women’s Sports Club. It was opened last year in Chitral. The club is currently training 60 girls in football and other sports.

While talking to a news channel, Karishma said, “It is my wish to bring more and more girls from Chitral on the international forum”.

She further added, “After Chitral, I want to work on a national level to create more opportunities for women”.

Karishma started playing professional football from age 15. She is studying for bachelors in business management from University of London.
