Pakistan’s first trans model Rimal Ali joins PTI

Pakistan’s first trans model turned actress Rimal Ali has decided to step into politics by officially joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI.

Rimal Ali has joined the ruling party as a coordinator for gender discrimination; days after getting physically assaulted by an ‘influential’ man in the Punjab capital.

It was a few days ago when Rimal alleged a resident of Attock named Jahanzaib Khan, for physically torturing her and for shaving her head and eyebrows.

That could be the reason for the Rahbra actress to appear wearing a woolen cap on the occasion.

While speaking to a media outlet after joining the politics, Rimal said, “the incident forced me to do so; I joined the politics for vengeance.”

“I will continue my showbiz career and nowadays I am engaged in various projects. In the coming days, my fans will see me in the drama industry and more films,” the trans model added.

“I was appreciated by the public when I started my career and luckily have gotten opportunities to work with legendary actors like Mahira Khan. Showbiz is my passion and I will not leave it. In these uncertain days, the situation in the industry is a bit disturbed due to COVID-19. But like many others, I am also struggling through this difficult time,” Rimel Ali added.
