Sajal Ali rumoured to be in London shooting for Jemima Goldsmith’s film

Sajal Ali is one of the most favourite Pakistani actresses with a number of hit dramas and Bollywood film Mom included in her credits.

Alif star was recently honoured with International Icon award by the Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA) 2020 for her contribution to film and Television.

Owing to the pandemic, there was not any specific news about what is going to Sajal Ali’s next project.

However, London-based BBC reporter Haroon Rashid in his tweet on Tuesday, shared that Sajal Ali might be working on Jemima Goldsmith’s production, What’s Love Got To Do With It.

“It’s rumoured that Sajal Ali is currently in London shooting for Jemima Goldsmith’s production, What’s Love Got To Do With It, directed by Shekhar Kapur. The film also stars Emma Thompson, Lily James, and Shazad Latif. Sajal’s rep has been contacted for confirmation. Huge if true!”, he said.

 

It was last year in November when it became official that the former journalist and ex-wife of PM Imran Khan, Jemima Goldsmith is all set to make her first impression as a producer of a feature film.

The film reported being a romantic comedy titled ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It?’ also stars Emma Thompson, Lily James, and Shazad Latif in titular roles.

The upcoming film will also mark Shekhar Kapur’s return to the director chair after 2007 released Elizabeth. 

While Sajal Ali’s last TV project was Geo Entertainment’s hit serial Alif based upon Umera Ahmed’s novel of the same title.
