Saif Ali Khan and Shahrukh Khan, the two do not need introduction. Both Bollywood actors have carved out an identity for themselves based purely on merit and their talented acting skills. Although time has not been serving Shahrukh good since a few years, considering all his releases failed to strike a mark, Saif Ali Khan has been doing great not only in Bollywood but in the digital realm as well.
However, there was a time, when Saif was actually made to feel insecure when he was told to act like Shahrukh. Don’t believe us?
In an unseen footage from the sixth season of Koffee With Karan, Saif Ali Khan is seen opening up an incident on the sets of Kal Ho Naa Ho. Saif told Karan Johar, who was also the producer of the film, that he made him insecure on the sets once when Karan asked Saif to act like Shah Rukh, making Saif doubt himself.
In the video, released on social media, by the producers of Koffee with Karan, Saif is seen saying to Karan, “You made me insecure once. We were doing Kal Ho Nan Ho and you said I want you to act like Shah Rukh and I said.. Oh no… Am I not good enough as myself.”
Kal Ho Naa Ho released in 2003 and starred Saif Ali Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta in lead roles. The two Khans portrayed exemplary bromance in the film, an example that is still given today. An out and out blockbuster, Kal Ho Naa Ho was directed by Nikhil Advani and produced by Dharma Productions.
