The iconic duo that ruled Pakistan television and hearts back in the 70s, Allan and Nanha from Alif Noon, are coming back, but this time, in a feature film. This classic satire is getting a remake and guess who’s in the lead?
According to Shehzad Roy, while talking Express Tribune, “Alif Noon is now being converted into a feature film and will be released in 2019.”
The film will star Shehzad Roy as Allan and Faisal Qureshi as Nanha, the film will also be written and directed by Faisal Qureshi himself.
Alif Noon’s latest rendition would be a thought provoking, satirical action comedy which will portray Allan and Nanha in present times, dealing with the advances and challenges of modern society, states Tribune.
Alif Noon, featured on PTV and revolved around two characters Kamal Ahmed Rizvi as Allan and Rafi Khawar as Nanha. Each episode showed how Allan, focused on tricking people to get rich, using the gullible Nanha as his frontman, and how he was exposed every time, because of Nanha’s same gullibility.
