Yunhi Episode-22 Review: Kim still wants to go back to America

HUM TV drama serial Yunhi is one of our favorite prime-time watches. The play with its vintage vibes and beautiful storytelling has certainly won our hearts and for that, the credit goes to the writer Sarwat Nazir and director Eshaamuddin. The performances are all incredible. In the previous episode, we have seen that Kim overhears Dada Jee and Dawood’s conversation in which Dawood says that he is not happy with his life. In this episode, Kim shares his plans she wants to go back to America.

Muddassir puts up some inappropriate conditions in front of all before the nikkah. One of his major conditions is to settle down with Hamid in America. He mentions that Dr Naveed can do this and he also mentions Basharat taking money from him. Basharat is shocked he tells him that the money is Kaneez Fatima’s and he will eventually going to hand over it back to her. Kim is shocked on hearing the mention of money.

Dada jee calls off the nikkah by telling Muddassir that “Beti Bhoj nahi hay” which Muddassir shamelessly mentions about Surraiya’s wish to marry someone else. Dada Jee asks Firdous and Muddassir to leave. Surraiya’s nikkah is called off and poor Surraiya is saved. It is good to see how Hamid and Husna both condemn what their father has done in front of their mamoo and nana.

Kim is thinking ill about Basharat’s uncle and she thinks that he is someone who took money from her father but after a while, her mind changes when Basharat hands over her the money telling her that it is always her Amanat he was fearing to hand over her before because there is no safe in Dawood’s room. Kim is surprised that how Basharat Uncle has returned her money when he needs it the most.

Kim tells Dawood that this money will help her in going back to America. Dawood is shocked and hurt to know that Kim still thinking to go back to America. The ending scene of Basharat and Surraiya is so heartwarming. Basharat confesses that he has not expressed her love for her daughter and it is his biggest mistake as it has created a communication gap between them. However, he is resolute to change and not to repeat that mistake. He asks her daughter what she wants to do. Surraiya tells him that she wants to study further and also she says that she is ashamed of her past conduct. Basharat promises that he will let her study. This father-daughter relationship is what should be seen more often on our screens.
