Breaking Bad gets a film in making

The Emmy Award-winning series “Breaking Bad” is reported to get a film in works with. The film tilted as ‘Greenbrier’, which is said to a spin-off of the hit TV series, is soon to start production in New Mexico.

According to the sources Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan is working on a two-hour movie, but, it is unclear whether it will be released theatrically or made for television.

The statement by New Mexico Film Office, says that the movie “Greenbrier” will begin production in the Duke City mid-November through early February, reports a foreign news journal.

“Breaking Bad” series was based on the story of Walter H. White, played by Bryan Cranston. A struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with advanced lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul, with the aim of securing his family’s financial future before he dies.

The sources also reveal, that the film will be set in the existing Breaking Bad franchise and will follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom. Gilligan will be the executive producer, writing the script, and possibly be directing the project. Meanwhile, further updates are being awaited.
