Game of Thrones bags outstanding drama series award at the 70th Emmy Awards

Game of Thrones returned to the 70th annual prime time Emmy awards, after being absent last year because of the technical reasons. But the series returned with a bang! It took home the biggest award of the night for Outstanding Drama Series.
Though this series has to return to TV screens next year with its last and final season. It managed to bagged six other awards in makeup, costume, music composition and stunt coordination.

And there was another award for Game of Thrones to take home, as Peter Dinklage won the award for best supporting actor in a drama series. This year, it was his seventh nomination in this category, for playing Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones. And his third win over all. Previously, he won this award in 2011 and 2015 as well.

And there was a best moment of the awards night which will be remembered for long time. Glenn Weiss who was honored for directing the 2018 Oscars broadcast, using his acceptance speech proposed his girlfriend Jan Svendsen, who was sitting in the crowd.
