Bollywood seems to be obsessed with recycling iconic songs and recreating with a modern touch. The latest to be recreated is Tabu’s Ruk Ruk Ruk by Kajol for her upcoming film ‘Helicopter Eela’. The original track featured Tabu and Ajay Devgn and was sung by Alisha Chinoi for Vijaypath. The song was composed by Anu Malik and penned by Shyam Anuragi.
The renewed version has been composed by Raghav Sachar and sung by Palomi Ghosh featuring Kajol singing the song in a theme that’s perfect for the 90s. The composer of the original song, Anu Malik also makes a cameo in the video along with composer Raghav Sachar.
Actress Tabu, on whom the song was originally picturised, caught up with Kajol and shared pictures of them on social media. “Kajol recreates Ruk Ruk! Stop and watch.”
The film is based on helicopter parenting, featuring National Award-winning actor Riddhi Sen, who plays Kajol’s son. The Pradeep Sarkar directorial is set to release on 12 October.
