Legendary actress Sabiha Khanum passed away in the United States of America aged 84. According to family sources she was suffering from renal disease. The actress was one the 1st female actresses to make a name for herself in Lollywood and was known as the First Lady of Pakistan’s silver screen.
Her granddaughter Sehrish Khan confirmed her death.

Sabiha Khanum’s birth name was Mukhtar Begum. The list of her hit films is long. Fans even today remember her brilliant performances in films like Kaneez, Mukhra, Anokha, Tehzeeb and many others. Her career started in the 1950s and she continued to act till the 1990s. During these years, she also starred in some outstanding TV dramas.
Sabiha Khanum was awarded Pride of Performance in 1986 by the government of Pakistan.
