WhatsApp keeps surprising its users with latest updates. This time around, the cross platform app has once again introduced a user friendly feature for voice typing.
If you’re on the go and don’t have time to type a message, you can directly start dictating the message using the new mic icon on the keyboard. The voice typing feature is available for iOS and Android users.
For iOS users, the icon is present in the bottom right while for Android users can find the mic icon just above the keyboard and dictate the message they want to send.
Although a new feature for WhatsApp, this is nothing new for smartphone users as they can already voice type their messages using voice assistants Google Assistant and Siri. However, WhatsApp users will be able to find the icon right there in the app and dictate the message.
A little inconvenient when you have to use punctuation marks as the feature types the full world instead of the punctuation mark but the feature is great for longer messages, when the user is on the go.
