Kate Middleton crowned the top royal fashion icon — beating out Meghan and Queen

Kate Middleton is the top royal fashion icon according to a survey conducted by the Fashion Retail Academy, one of the UK’s top fashion schools.

“By embracing the fashion world and Princess Diana’s often daring style, Kate has learned how to balance trends with tradition, and it’s nice to see that she is keeping the tradition alive,” Lee Lucas, the principal, and CEO of the Fashion Retail Academy said.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate racked up 47.8% of the vote as the top trendsetter, more than double the 20.1% received by new British Columbia resident Meghan Markle,  Duchess of Sussex. Queen Elizabeth, the matriarch of the royal family, wound up third in the voting, with a whopping 9.8%.

Among the royal men, Prince Harry topped the poll with 14% of the vote, followed by his older brother, Prince William, who received 11% of the vote.
