Atif Aslam reprises Bollywood’s classic song “Chalte Chalte” for upcoming film “Mitron”

Our dear Aadee seems to be currently on a roll. Yes, we mean Atif Aslam, who recently sang the rendition of a song by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan titled, ‘Dekhte Dekhte’ for ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, has recreated another Bollywood’s classic song.

The announcement came from Atif Aslam, as he tweeted about his new song. It is rendition of icon song, Chalte Chalte which was picturized on Meena Kumari from1972 classic film Pakeezah.

This reprisal of evergreen Bollywood’s song is going to part of an upcoming film “Mitron”, which is picturized on the lead pair of the film Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra. This new version is recreated by Tanishk Bagchi, who has also penned down the additional lyrics. This Nitin Kakkar directorial is slated to hit the cinema on 14th September 2018.

The iconic original was penned by Kaifi Azmi and composed by Ghulam Mohammed. It was sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Till date it remains one of Bollywood’s great creations which calls on the melancholy of being in love with the unknown.

Though Atif Aslam is a great singer of present times and very successful in playback singing in Bollywood, but this rendition of iconic classic is a bit tricky. As it is going to be part of a production with lesser known figures of Indian cinema. We all have yet to find will people will fall in love with it just like the original.
