Another milestone for BTS, as the K-pop makes history by becoming the first ever South Korean group to headline Wembley Stadium.
Shaking up the home country of Beatles and Queen, BTS performed in front of 60,000 spectators on Saturday.
Nicknamed “the Beatles of the 21st century”, BTS performed a medley of the band’s mega-hits, such as, naturally, “Boy with Luv,” which peaked at 8th on the main Billboard singles chart, Hot 100, last month, as well as “Dope,” “Fire,” “Idol” and “Fake Love,” burning the stage for two hours and 40 minutes.
Before taking the stage for the concert, at the presser rapper Suga mentioned their goals when deciding on the set list for their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour. “We wanted to make it more like a festival than a concert,” he said.
And that’s what the world experienced the grandeur of BTS at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
Not just that, Muslim fan BTS Army believes that K-pop band paused Wembley performance for Maghrib call for prayers, Azaan. The Muslim fans who were present at the concert shared on social media that the band paused for them to break their fast.
On their next stop of the “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” world tour, BTS will be in France, where they are scheduled to perform at Stade de France in Saint Denis, just north of Paris.
In July, BTS will be having 4 shows in Japan, which will start from July 6 in Osaka.
