Four people are reported to have been killed and five others were injured in an explosion on Jinnah Road in Sibi, Balochistan.
Sibi Deputy Commissioner Khuda-e-Rahim confirmed that the blast took place as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) rally was passing through the city on Tuesday.
According to the police, the explosion took place on Jinnah Road in Sabi, as a result of which several people were injured.
The injured in the blast have been shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.
Medical Superintendent (MS) Civil Hospital Sabi Dr Shahid initially told that, 2 people were killed and 4 injured in the blast on Jinnah Road.
Civil Hospital’s Medical Superintendent Dr Shahid said that three injured people are in “critical condition”, noting that an emergency has been imposed in the facility following the incident.
He said that the condition of 3 of the injured in the Sabi blast is critical and an emergency has been declared in the civil hospital.
On the other hand, given the situation, an emergency has been imposed in all the hospitals of Sabi and Quetta.
The spokesperson of the health department said that instructions have been issued to MS Sabi Hospital to provide the best health facilities to the patients.
Following the blast, the health department issued instructions to all doctors and staff to report for duty immediately.
