57 newly-elected members of the Balochistan Assembly were sworn in on Wednesday.
Zamrak Khan Achakzai appointed the presiding officer for the maiden provincial legislative session, administered the oath.
The assembly session was adjourned till tomorrow at 3 pm.
The newly sworn-in assembly members will vote for the election of the House’s speaker and deputy speaker in tomorrow’s session.
57 members who took oath today, included the elects from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), which emerged as the largest parties in the 65-member House.
With the Balochistan Assembly lawmakers sworn in, all provincial assemblies of the country have now come into effect.
Earlier in the day, newly elected members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly took office.
The members of Sindh and Punjab Assemblies have already taken the oath of office and elected Chief Ministers of the province respectively.
