Former senator Enver Baig passed away in Islamabad on Friday aged 78.
Enver Baig, a seasoned politician, was being treated for multiple diseases.
The ex-senator’s family announced that he peacefully breathed his last today.
His Namaz-e-Janaza will be offered on Saturday at 2 pm at the H-11/4 graveyard in Islamabad.
Enver Baig served as a senator on PPP’s ticket from 2003 to 2009.
He later joined PML-N in 2012.
He also served as chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme between 2013 and 2014.
Enver Baig also served as Honorary Council General of The Republic of Uruguay in Pakistan and president of the Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association from 1982 to 1983.
