Gold price jumps to Rs218,300 per tola!
With an increase of Rs600 per tola, the gold price surged to an all-time high in Pakistan on Tuesday as the rupee continued to lose ground against the US dollar in the interbank market amid a delay in the revival of the IMF loan programme.
According to the data released by All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of yellow metal (24 carats) increased by Rs600 per tola and Rs514 per 10 grams to settle at Rs218,300 and Rs187,157, respectively.
In the international market, the price of gold declined by $1 to close at $2001 per ounce.
On the other hand, the prices of silver in the domestic market also hit a historic high level after an increase of Rs40 per tola and Rs34.30 per 10 grams to settle at Rs2,520 and Rs2,160.5, respectively.
