The government has added June 28 to the Eid ul Azha Holidays!
Earlier, the government had announced a three-day Eid holiday from June 29 (Thursday) to July 1 (Saturday). The announcement was preceded by the sighting of the Zil-Hajj moon on July 19 by Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
With the approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Cabinet Division previously issued a notification for the Eid-ul-Adha holidays.
According to the notification, the offices open 6 days a week were to have a holiday from June 29 to July 1, while for Eid-ul-Adha, 2 days holiday was announced in the offices open 5 days a week.
According to the sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif decided to give a holiday for Eid-ul-Adha on June 28.
On Thursday evening, the federal government formally announced a holiday on June 28.
Furthermore, the statement issued by the State Bank of Pakistan notified that the central bank will be closed on June 29 and 30 on account of the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
