Hajj 2023 concludes as pilgrims perform ‘Tawaf Al-Wida’

Thousands of pilgrims, on the third day of Tashreeq, stoned the devil at the Jamarat Bridge in Mina before returning to Makkah’s Grand Mosque to complete their Hajj rituals by performing the final circumambulation of the Holy Kaaba, known as the ‘Tawaf Al-Wida’.

After concluding the ‘Tawaf Al-Wida’, a considerable number of pilgrims will travel to Madinah to offer prayers at the Holy Prophet’s Mosque.

This year Hajj fell in the month of July when the temperature marked 47 degrees Centigrade.

In the extreme heating condition with temperature, the Saudi security officials were seen spraying water on the pilgrims holding umbrellas for some shade in the scorching heat.

The Hajj usually attracts between 1.5 million and 2 million pilgrims from around the world.

This was the first time since the pandemic that Saudi authorities have allowed it to return to full capacity.

The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) announced earlier this week that the total number of pilgrims this year, 1444 AH, amounted to 1,845,045 pilgrims.
