Imran Khan has been arrested from his Lahore residence, Zaman Park after being convicted in the Toshakhana case on Saturday!
In a major development, a district and sessions court convicted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case, sentencing him to three years in prison.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs100,000 on Imran Khan.
“Charges of misdeclaration of assets have been proven against PTI chairman,” the judgment issued by the Additional and Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar mentioned.
“Imran Khan deliberately submitted fake details to the Election Commission of Pakistan and is found guilty of corrupt practices,” he stated and sent the PTI chief to jail for three years under Section 174 of the Election Act.
Sessions Judge Islamabad Humayun Dilawar sentenced Imran Khan to 3 years in prison and a fine of Rs 100,000 after the PTI Chairman’s lawyers did not appear despite repeated opportunities for arguments in the Tosha Khana case.
The roads leading to the residence of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf in Lahore were blocked after Imran Khan was sentenced to three years in the Toshakhana case and ordered to be arrested,
The trial court summoned Imran Khan in his personal capacity today (Saturday) for a hearing in the Toshakhana case after the high court rejected his pleas challenging the maintainability order.
