Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan is reported to have distanced himself from the party’s ticket distribution for elections 2024!
PTI founder made the remarks during his brief interaction with party workers in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail after the hearing of the Toshakhana case, on Saturday.
PTI workers in the brief meeting with Imran Khan inside the jail premises, registered their complaints with the party’s founder against the unfair distribution of tickets.
In response to a question about the “unfair” distribution of party tickets, the PTI founder said, “I don’t know who got the ticket and who didn’t.”
The PTI founder asked his supporters how could he verbally decide about 8500 tickets.
“I was not allowed to consult about the distribution of party tickets.”
Meanwhile, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, one of the members of Imran’s legal team, taking to his X handle, said that Imran had announced the withdrawal of such disputed tickets.
“I met IK in jail and conveyed Concerns over the controversial allotment of the tickets. KHÀÑ has announced the withdrawal of such disputed tickets and directed Umair Niazi to its implementation. Haleema Khanum, Bushra Bibi, Ijaz Butter and Naeem Panjotha were present,” Sher Afzal Khan Marwat said.
