The Islamabad administration has offered PTI conditional permission for a sit-in in the federal capital.
As reported, the Islamabad administration offered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf permission to protest in the federal capital on November 4 in exchange for accepting 39 conditions on Thursday.
The administration has sought an affidavit from the PTI for assurances over different conditions set by the government, in exchange for permission to hold a rally in Islamabad.
The development comes as the PTI’s ongoing march has entered into Day 7 on Thursday.
As reported, there are 39 different conditions that the administration requires signing by PTI Chairman Imran Khan stated in the affidavit.
Imran Khan’s signature will be required on the affidavit for permission to be formally granted.
The affidavit also asks the PTI chief to take responsibility to ensure that protesters stay confined to the specified venue.
PTI chairman Imran Khan would also be declared responsible for any casualties that might occur during the protest.
Some of the other conditions offered by the Islamabad administration are as follows:
On the other hand, PTI leaders have not outlined an exact date for the march’s arrival in Islamabad,
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry a day earlier said that they want to keep the government guessing about the march’s arrival.
While PTI leader Asad Umar after reviewing party arrangement’s in different cities, on Thursday asserted that a ‘historic gathering’ will take place in Islamabad on November 11.
The PTI had requested the administration to be allowed to protest at a site between G-9 and H-9 in Islamabad.
While the authorities said that this would result in complete blockage of the Srinagar Highway, one of the capital’s main roads.
The authorities said that the location offered by the administration would ensure that the basic right of movement of citizens will not be affected,
